Sales Executive, Airfreight

Requirements:
  • A Bachelors degree in Business Management/Administration as well as postgraduate Diploma in Sales and Marketing;
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to co-ordinate, prioritize workload and work under pressure;
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the Freight Industry & Logistics;
  • Expert knowledge of Kenyan Airfreight market;
  • Computer Literate with excellent communication skills and a team player;
  • Independent & systematic skills with open mind.
Responsibilities
  • Secure new business for Kuehne + Nagel as well as sustaining existing ones;
  • Maintaining and sustaining quality service to customers;
  • In conjunction with Head of Sales, formulate a tariff to the particular need of the client;
  • Prepare proposal and quotes;
  • Liaison with local Airline offices in respect to freight rates and co-ordinate the same to Head of Sales;
  • Formulate and implement Sales and Marketing strategies for growing the business;
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to retain and attract new clients as well as increase revenues and market share.
Sales Support
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Sales & Marketing;
  • 2 years experience in Sales environment;
  • Leadership skills, computer literate, good communication, organizational & interpersonal skills and team player;
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to co-ordinate, prioritize workload and work under pressure.
Responsibilities:
  • Internal prospecting of clients from the database, ensuring solid sales leads are correctly profiled to secure new business for the organization, and passed on to Sales;
  • Receive rate requests from Sales or customer directly and to assist the Sales person whenever necessary;
  • Arrange departmental daily activities and update sales staff accordingly;
  • Prepare periodic sales reports and submit to Head of Sales;
  • Generate clearing and forwarding instructions;
  • Generate Air & Sea instructions;
  • Prepare Request for Quotations (RFQ’s) with the assistance of Customer Service.
